The discovery and theme islands

What made Gottlieb Duttweiler decide to found Migros? How did the small retailer develop into the large concern it is today? Which are the iconic Migros products and advertisements? What is your personal connection to Migros? The garden’s 10 discovery and theme islands let you discover and explore this very Swiss company with all your senses – and leave behind your own traces with your own Migros story.

A feast for the senses

The garden

The Zurich University of Applied Sciences (ZHAW) came up with the cultivation concept for the spacious gardens – whether it’s summer or winter, spring or autumn, the colour orange is the common thread during all 12 months of the year, making the magnificent gardens well worth a visit any time of year.
